Reasoning for Syndication and Access

This activity will be concerned with the semantic comparison and combination of meaning extracted from the various multimedia sources, including here also associated textual sources. The combination of semantic content from various sources needs a strong reasoning component that acts on the annotations generated from the various analysis procedures and the associated metadata in order to ensure a coherent, consistent and non-redundant set of annotations that can additionally be used for distributing/delivering the joint semantic content to various users using various communication channels, deciding on what part of the content should be displayed in which format. For the syndication part, the origin and type of the media from which the content has been extracted will be tracked and specified also to drive the best adaptation for delivery to the mobile user, depending on the communication channel he/she is using or prefers.

This activity will be strongly related to the Multimedia Analysis, Content Composition, Syndication & Usage and Personalisation and Mobile Access.
